Today, the winter ski season has opened in Bansko. The official ceremony will begin at 11 am. As always, many world stars are expected at Banderishka Polyana. World-famous athletes from winter sports are present at the opening. The program will end with a concert by Mikhaila Filova. There will also be a tasting of local goodies on the central square.

There are no British in Bansk yet. We talk to James Hughes, who has been living in the resort town for many years, about the mood among them. According to him, before coming to Bulgaria, the British will first visit other destinations. "We will have a little difficulty in the competition with the Alps because they are also having a good season. I think those who book at the last minute will go to Austria, France, Switzerland. They have a lot of snow. Last year was very good for Bansko and I think we will have a small increase in the number of British tourists," he said.
Lift ticket prices are known now. They will be in effect until the Christmas holidays, after which they may be adjusted depending on the number of runways in use and their condition. Until then, the daily card will cost 60 BGN for adults, 50 BGN for students under 19, and we will pay 30 BGN for children aged 7 to 12.
